These terms govern your use of VelaOra's website and products, including the Restora sleep programme. By using VelaOra, you agree to these terms. They are written in plain English and governed by New Zealand law.

About VelaOra

VelaOra is a New Zealand–based women's health platform providing educational content, wellness tools, and digital programmes. We operate at velaora.co.nz. Our contact email is velaorawomen@gmail.com.

What VelaOra Provides

VelaOra provides:

  • Free educational content — articles, guides, and resources on women's health topics, available on our website at no charge.
  • Restora — a digital sleep programme based on CBT-I (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia), designed for women. Restora is an educational tool and wellness resource.
  • Paid subscriptions and programmes — when available, these grant access to premium content or tools for a fee.

Important: VelaOra and all its products — including Restora — are educational and informational resources only. They are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult your GP or a registered healthcare professional for medical concerns.

Your Account and Access

Some VelaOra products require a password or account to access. You are responsible for keeping your access credentials secure. Do not share your access code with others — each purchase is for individual use only. VelaOra reserves the right to revoke access if credentials are shared in breach of these terms.

Payments

Where VelaOra charges for a product or service:

  • Prices are shown in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) inclusive of GST where applicable.
  • Payments are processed securely by our third-party payment provider. VelaOra does not store your card details.
  • A receipt or confirmation will be emailed to you upon successful payment.

Refunds and Cancellations

Your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 apply to all VelaOra purchases. If a product fails to meet the guarantees set out in that Act, you are entitled to a remedy.

In addition to your statutory rights, VelaOra offers the following:

  • Digital programmes (e.g. Restora): If you are not satisfied within 7 days of purchase and have not accessed more than Week 1 of the programme, you may request a full refund. Contact us at velaorawomen@gmail.com.
  • Subscriptions: You may cancel a subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial-month refunds are provided except where required by law.
  • Change of mind: Beyond the 7-day window above, we do not offer refunds for change of mind on digital products, as permitted under New Zealand consumer law for digital goods that have been accessed.

To request a refund or cancellation, email velaorawomen@gmail.com with your name, purchase date, and reason. We will respond within 5 business days.

Acceptable Use

By using VelaOra you agree not to:

  • Share, resell, or redistribute paid content or access credentials without permission.
  • Use VelaOra's content for commercial purposes without our written consent.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or replicate any part of our programmes or tools.
  • Submit false, misleading, or harmful information through any VelaOra form or tool.

Intellectual Property

All content on VelaOra — including articles, programme materials, the Restora app, graphics, and brand elements — is owned by VelaOra and protected under New Zealand and international copyright law. You may not reproduce, republish, or redistribute any VelaOra content without written permission, except for personal, non-commercial use.

Where we link to or recommend third-party products (including via affiliate links), those products and their trademarks remain the property of their respective owners. Affiliate links are disclosed in our content.

Affiliate Links and Disclosure

Some links on VelaOra are affiliate links — meaning we may earn a small commission if you purchase through them, at no extra cost to you. We only recommend products we genuinely believe in. Affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial content.

Health Disclaimer

VelaOra's content — including the Restora programme — is for general educational purposes only. It does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Results vary between individuals. Restora's CBT-I programme is an evidence-based educational tool, not a clinical service.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, VelaOra's liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of our website or products is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant product or service. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes rights you have under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email to subscribers or posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of VelaOra after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising under these terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
